Paige Johnson

I am a hard-working individual who is good at taking on multiple tasks at once while also working well with teammates. I pride myself on my ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with the people around me. I take initiative and remain organized while in the midst of high-stress situations. Additionally, I am eager to learn new skills and grow in my understanding of the industry and my role.

Being involved for three years in performing arts - more specifically dance - has enabled me to strengthen the discipline and self-control required to succeed. As a result, I have been able to focus more on the proper technique, timing, and accuracy that is required in a dance program. The necessary discipline and self-control have enabled me to grow further in becoming a better dancer. The dedication, practice, and determination I have exerted have allowed me to hone my skills and acquire more technical knowledge.

During high school, I found myself actively engaging with individuals from various backgrounds, building relationships with them to better our school as a community and to help those who may have been struggling with the transition to high school while in student council. Additionally, while I was in the link crew, I was able to gain insight into the inner workings of high school and the people who shaped it. At the same time, I was able to foster a supportive environment for the new students, making sure they felt included and at home at school. In college, I am continuing to build on this experience of connecting minds and cultures by joining a group called CMI- Center for Multicultural Initiatives.

I have been passionate about theatre pursuits ever since I was young, and this has given me an appreciation of the craft of acting. This appreciation has given me a deeper understanding of expression and communication, which has greatly assisted me in my interpersonal relationships. My involvement with theatre has also helped me to hone my public speaking skills, giving me the confidence to communicate effectively with large groups of people. Furthermore, my experiences have given me the ability to read situations easily and respond to them creatively.

As I was growing up, I had a passion for writing although I never knew it. I love the process of creating stories and my thoughts much more than just what has been assigned to me. This made writing for me enjoyable and eventually evolved into an art form for me. Getting feedback from my audience is what makes me feel the most fulfilled when writing, as I can see how my words and stories are affecting people who read them.
