Working as a daycare assistant required me to help with after school pickups, setting up / preparing lunch for the kids, settling disputes, cleaning up, and more. My time as a daycare assistant really set the foundation for a lot of my skills and important qualities when it comes to working, these qualities consisting of patience, multitasking, problem-solving, and more. Though I really enjoyed my position I ultimately decided to leave the job and to pursue another where I wouldn't be working under my mom.

My time as a hostess at The Old Spaghetti Factory taught me (as well as enhanced) some of my most important skills, these skills being teamwork, multitasking, patience, communication, and so on. As a hostess I was required to greet customers upon entry, assign seating accordingly, and to seat customers. As a hostess I was also required to communicate with servers and bussers a lot, and was even required to occasionally help the bussers with their duties. It was necessary for hosts to participate in spag counts (count the amount of people without entrees), as well as bathroom checks every thirty minutes in between tasks. I unfortunately had to leave The Old Spaghetti Factory due to my mom's daycare assistant quitting and her needing me to be available to help if needed.
