• Provide a safe nurturing environment to learn and develop to reach their milestones. Plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child. • Facilitates the smooth functioning of the department to which assigned by performing administrative tasks and clerical duties.

• Confers formally and informally with other team members in coordinating the total rehabilitation program of the patient.
• Responsible for reporting on the condition of patient/client to the appropriate supervisor and other staff members. Coordinate and assist with care as directed.
• Documents and maintains patient records that reflect patient treatment: (Evaluation, daily treatment record, telephone orders, billing).
• Clinical knowledge and skill, or ability to develop knowledge and skills required for evaluation and treatment of pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patient populations.
• Responsible for performing tasks that are within the scope of his/her educational preparation, knowledge, and permitted by the policies and procedures of Supplemental Health Care, and other local, state, and federal guidelines; and the policies of the facility requesting the services.

• Assist the licensed staff with basic patient care functions, which includes but is not limited to bathing, ambulating, toileting and feeding patients. In addition, picking up meal trays, taking vital signs and measuring and recording intake and output are functions of the Patient Care Tech. The patient care techs assist with nursing staff by performing bedside glucose checks, foley catheter care including discontinuation of foley, urine collection, tracheostomy care and simple dressing care. The PCT may also be responsible for performing the clerical tasks as assigned by the department manager or charge nurse. These tasks may include: functions as a receptionist for the unit and answers all phone calls and patient intercom calls

• Assign tasks for other life assistants. help residents with daily living, which includes using the toilet, bathing and washing, dressing, serving food and collecting assistance. Also help with other tasks such as recreational and social activities. Provide assistance to residents who have limited mobility by helping them walk or transporting them in their wheelchair. Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones and greeting visitors, and provide documentation of care and assistance.
