Subway
06.2015 - 08.2022
  • I worked as both a main closer and a main opener at subway ever since I was 16 years old
  • I’ve bounced between two of my hometown stores depending on which one needed more assistance at the time with training new employees
  • I was promoted to crew leader during my time at subway and with that I would do paperwork, morning money, opening and closing the registers, helping with customer complaints, putting away the truck, counting inventory, leading the crew, training new employees, communication with other stores in the area, speaking with food inspectors, etc
  • This job has taught me a lot about consistency and reliability, I've been able to grow and create so many amazing bonds through this, while also learning how to manage my time and stay on schedule with my assigned tasks
  • I have learned so much about the importance of interpersonal skills, teamwork and communication.

  • I worked second shift at a local assisted living community
  • I assisted residents with their medications to insure they were taking them, showering, going to and from the bathroom, back and forth to meals, getting dressed, getting into bed
  • I did laundry, vitals as needed and anything else that the residents would need
  • This was an amazing experience overall, I met so many individuals who encouraged me to go into nursing school and expand my education
  • I learned so much about charting on my residents and different chronic conditions that were present with them through being able to talk to them about their medications and their histories
  • It helped me a lot when I did eventually apply for nursing school
  • Communication, teamwork and time management were major roles I learned from this position and how to advocate for my residents
  • Through this experience I learned just how much I truly enjoyed taking care of others and being able to be a voice for their concerns and to be a hand to hold or a shoulder to cry on.
