  • During my tenure as President of the Psychology Student Association, we collaborated closely with ¨Portal de Amor¨, a foster care agency. Our collective efforts were dedicated to securing resources for the purchase of essential items such as clothing, food, and school supplies. Additionally, we organized various artistic and musical activities, as well as initiatives aimed at fostering emotional intelligence. One notable program involved individuals adopting a child for a day, providing them with personalized discussions about their emotions.
  • On an annual basis, in commemoration of Children´s Day, we orchestrated a collaborative event involving various student organizations and departments within the University. The festive occasion served as a celebration dedicated to the children and their families. To add an extra touch of joy my classmates and I dressed up as clowns, engaging in lively singing, dancing, and merriment alongside the children. Each organization contributed by setting up activity tables, and our team focused on arts and crafts. In addition, we took the initiative to assemble backpacks filled with school supplies and first aid kits. (2013-2015)
  • We undertook the responsibility of delivering informative talks to children and adolescents across various schools. These talks encompassed a range of vital topics, including the significance of mental health, anti bullying, and managing emotions. Our objective was to ensure that young individuals from diverse communities had access to this valuable knowledge. To achieve this, we collaborated closely with teachers within each school. By working hand on hand with them, we ensured that every child had the opportunity to participate in these talks. (August 2013 - June 2015)
  • For a semester from January 2014 - May 2014) I worked along Professor Padilla´s classroom, where she worked supporting children with autism. Contributed in helping create lessons, curriculum, and activities for these children. By volunteering in this specialized setting, I had the opportunity to acquire and develop a diverse range of skills to effectively work with children on the spectrum. This experience enhanced my understanding of their unique needs.
  • Worked with a couple of Senior Centers and created a activity called ¨Adopt a Grandparent¨, we provided attention, board games, music, and snacks. Spending time with the elderly and offering companionship is incredibly meaningful. Listening to their stories and getting to know them better not only enriched my own understanding of life but also made me feel valued and appreciated. The ¨Adopt a Grandparent¨ activity is a beautiful way to bridge generational gaps and create meaningful connections. (October 2013, September 2014, May 2015)
  • I was able to usher at a Neuroscience conference during the Neuroscience week at our University. It provided me with the opportunity to immerse myself in the world of Psychology and connect with professionals in the field. Meeting and interacting with them allowed me to broaden my knowledge and gain insights from experts in various areas. (2013, 2014 and 2015)
