I am a strong good nurse, I have supervisory skills and I believe supervise with kindness but expect the best work, as I expect it from myself. I do feel that continue to learn new things is essential to us all . If I don't understand something I seek answers. I have been though joint commission surveys as well as medicade and medicare surveys , several of them . I believe in giving my best to my work because my patients and residents deserve this Thankyou Pam Baker Rn
I have been at this hospital this time I'm in my 26year. I have been a bedside nurse ,worked in radiology , have been trained in supervision as well. the majority has been the ICU charge nurse in a 12 bed unit. I respond to rapid responses and cardiac arrests , I work with ventilator pt's , cooling protocol, sepsis pt's. I make assignments , control flow of unit . I do have the respect of the doctors and other units, as I respect them as well. I do like being a nurse ,I feel a passion for it. I was a nurses aide when I was 17 then went to LPN school , these years were mostly hospital and nursing home where I was the ADON for about a year . I missed hospital so I went back to school and received my Rn in 1994 . I graduated with high honors, on the deans list and national honors society .
I worked in the PACU and ICU there, I also supervisor there , I enjoyed the worked , I did work there to be close to my children as I live in Rochelle , when they got older I felt I needed more of a challenge . I did learn a lot there especially the small town feel
