Experience with patients arriving from the Operating room following inpatient, outpatient and intensive procedures such as neurosurgeries, cardiac and vascular surgeries, and occasionally receiving patients requiring ventilator support and management of drips. Experience also includes surgeries such as GI/GU surgeries, Orthopedic surgeries, plastic surgeries, and a wide variety of minor outpatient procedures. Occasionally responsible for transporting patients within the hospital and discharging patients once recovery time is completed.

Experience with patients arriving to the Post Anesthesia Care Unit following intensive procedures such as neurosurgeries, Cardiac and vascular surgeries, and patients requiring ventilator support and/or drip management. Experience also includes many inpatient and outpatient procedures such as GI/GU surgeries, general surgeries, plastic surgeries, and patients with PCA pumps. Responsibilities also included coving regular call shifts.

Experience with patients arriving to the Post Anesthesia Care Unit following a variety of surgeries including, but not limited to orthopedic surgeries, nasal/sinus surgeries, plastic surgeries, and care of pediatric patients. Enhanced patient safety by diligently monitoring vital signs and administering medications postsurgery. Past experience with preoperative care including review of histories, medications, obtaining consents, surgeries prep, and initial IV access. Experience with MedSurg care of patients extended to the Extended care unit, as well asa post-op teaching with patients and caregivers.

Responsible for admission of patients both adult and pediatric. Obtaining history and medical information to assist in the admission process. Prepping for surgical procedures, obtaining initial IV access, and completing paperwork and consents. Responsibilities also included discharging patients following outpatient procedures. Experience with post-op patients in the 23 hour Short Stay uni. Duties included frequent patient admissions, dressing changes, IV Care, and administration of oral and IV medications. First hand involvement in patient teaching, care planning, discharge planning, and discharge teaching and assessments.

Responsible for one-on-one patient care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Experience obtained with patients requiring ventilator support spanning from BiPAP to High Frequency Oscillators. Care of patients arriving to the unit post-op. Frequent administration of vasoactive medications. Responsible for all lab and IV procedure while on the un it. Extensive care of patients with central lines.
