- Coordinated daily logistics activities for timely pick up of Laboratory specimens
- Optimized storage solutions within the supply area. Checked that all outdated tubes and collection devices were removed. This enable us to utilize space.
- Supervised approximately 50 people. Both office staff and couriers. Trained new couriers for many of my 40 plus years in this field. Later supervised others to do the training.
- Made schedules for the couriers, office staff and contracted couriers.
- Coordinated driver dispatch to accomplish daily pickup of specimens and supply delivery requirements.
- Checked time cards filled in PTO and leave of absence recordings. Corrected missed punches.
- Helped to locate any missing specimens or supplies.
- Helped building routes according to required time tables. All routes were built in computer program. All pickups, specimens and deliveries were recording in this program.
- Helped with the management of an estimated 50 vehicles for the department.
- Selected new employees.
- Worked with other supervision to full fill their needs for services whenever possible.
- Evaluated employee performance to make sure department standards were maintained. Provided employee assistance for improving work. Also handled corrective actions for those not willing to follow policy.
