Primary Duties

Facilitate continuing education for teaching staff through implementation of quality curriculum training. Supervise and evaluate teaching and support staff through instructional leadership and professional development. Define and enforce student academic achievement standards in line with district goals and objectives. Review weekly lesson plans, provide feedback, consult with students, parents and teachers concerning academic performance. Identify areas of improvement and redirect behavior.

Additional Information

Como Montessori, Morningside Middle and Anderson Elementary (Bilingual campus / Arlington ISD), are uniquely diverse in their make-up. Grade levels include PPCD through 8th grade. Curriculum encompasses Montessori and middle schools are under Texas standard curriculum.

Results

  • Co-taught with teachers in which we moved the school from an F rating to a C rating in one year.
  • I was responsible for closing instructional gaps. Beginning at 52%, the campus progressed to 72%.
  • A total of 483 office referrals were reduced by 42%, on a campus of 623 students.
  • I implemented a teacher reward system to increase district attendance completion requirements. This resulted in a current completion rate of 100%.

Leadership Experience

  • Facilitated data driven PLC’s that lead to teacher instructional growth and student achievement.
  • Supervised and evaluated teaching and support staff regarding effective teaching techniques, classroom management strategies and behavior modification.
