My role as a faculty Instructional Designer at Merced College is to support faculty and staff by developing high-quality online and hybrid learning experiences. This role focuses on instructional design, faculty training, educational technology integration, and accessibility compliance to enhance teaching and learning.

My position requires strong instructional design expertise, faculty development experience, and a commitment to accessibility, equity, and AI integration in higher education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Course Design & Faculty Support: Develop engaging online and hybrid courses, ensuring best practices in instructional design, pedagogy, and accessibility.
• Faculty Training & Professional Development: Conduct workshops, webinars, and one-on-one training on AI, digital tools, and best instructional practices.
• LMS & Technology Integration: Provide guidance on Canvas and emerging AI-driven tools, enhancing faculty and student engagement.
• Data & Learning Analytics: Utilize Canvas analytics and AI-powered assessment tools to track student performance, retention, and instructional effectiveness.
• Collaboration & Institutional Initiatives: Support grant-funded projects, cross-departmental collaborations, and faculty inquiry groups to advance instructional innovation.
• AI & Educational Innovation: Develop AI-enhanced instructional resources, create training materials, and explore emerging educational technologies to support equitable and effective teaching practices.
