It's a award from Hospital to recognize a CNA where they are recommended by a patient, or their family, staff member, or anyone who notice will send the Hospital a recommendation for an employee who does an outstanding job and go beyond their job description to care for a patient, their family or just anyone who is needing assistant. I was awarded the Squash Blossom Award when it first came out in 2019 by a family member of a patient who was on comfort care and the family member was also an employee of the hospital and stated I showed compassion for his grandfather and treated him with care, and always made sure he was comfortable and not only for him but for all the family at bedside if we needed anything to call and assured she will do her best to help out. This is how i received the award for being a CNA.
