- Provided comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnoses to a diverse population of veterans in outpatient clinics and dual diagnosis residential treatment programs (RRTP). Initially as an outpatient provider in the Gainesville VA for 8 years providing individualized psychotherapy and psychopharmacologic medication management in addition to inpatient groups and outpatient groups (Clozapine). Transitioned to a year in PRRC (Psychosocial Rehabilitation Recovery Center) as a provider in an outpatient day program for dual diagnosis. My next position took me to Lake City, FL (still in VISN 8) where I filled a split position; 50/50 outpatient and residential treamtment. Most recently, I function int the role of 'Attending' for an 18 bed residential/dual diagnosis prgram and provide coverage for other NP's in psychiatry. I practice independently within the guidelines of the VA directives for an expanded APRN role.
