I have worked for 27 years in numerous aspects of mortgage loans. Originating, marketing, and training staff to be the best they can be. It is a joy of mine to see someone get the "home of their dreams" or become a "first time homeowner".
Joined First Fidelis to help the broker (Lance Richards ) establish the brokerage in Mississippi. I am the only licensed loan officer for them in MS. I originate, process and handle my own closings. I handle files from start to finish and try to attend all of my loan closings. I work directly with the lenders that he has acquired for First Fidelis. I price my own files and work with underwriters directly to get my loans approved and closed. I am also one of the administrators for the loan software to help keep all employees updated on rules and changes.
I have originated millions in loan volume for First Fidelis and have enjoyed working for Lance.
I originally joined Community Bank due to a close friend was named "President of Mortgage", Joe McNeese. The interest rates were another reason. I worked in several locations for the bank. I originated mortgage loans for Community Bank and helped with marketing and some training.
Residential Mtg. Corp is owned by two close friends of mine. After I sold my own company, I landed there to stay active in mortgage loans. They are brokers and used the same lenders that I had so it was a "comfort" move.
I sold the original Mortgage Partners, LLC (WS Inc) to Metropolitan Bank. In 2012 Metropolitan dropped the name and released it back to me. I reopened Mortgage Partners ( Mtg. Associates, Inc) and brokered loans for a couple of years. I had 3 other loan officers and we serviced the Rankin and Madison County areas. Realtors and prior customers were the source of loans for us. I handled all of our brokered lenders , trained processors and closers. as well as originated loans for myself. I handled all marketing and compliance for the company. We had numerous products including "Down Payment Assistance" for those that qualified as well FNMA, FHA, VA and USDA.
I sold Mortgage Partners (WS Inc.) to Metropolitan Bank in January 2010. Worst mistake that I could imagine. Metropolitan bank agreed to keep pay levels and duties for all our staff at the levels they were at. Shortly after the purchase, all agreements were broken. I originated loans for 10 months after selling the company and then left. I truly believe helping my clients should be top priority but it wasn't.
I was the owner , broker and Senior Loan Officer at Mortgage Partners. We had 7 loan officers at the Flowood office and another branch in Alabama with one loan officer.
We were licensed in 3 states. I originated my own loans but handled many duties. I negotiated all the pricing with our lenders, trained staff, handled marketing and oversaw processing and closing.
I landed at First MS Capital to learn how to become a mortgage broker. I originated my own loans but helped with marketing as well as studied under the brokers to learn how to setup a company. I worked there for 3 years until I had established myself with enough lenders that I could open my own brokerage. This was done with the blessing of the owners.
Cendant Mortgage owned at the time, Century 21, Coldwell Banker and ERA Real Estate companies. I was one of the account reps for Mississippi. I had central MS as my area. I visited and trained mortgage products for the 3 real estate entities which was over 30 accounts for me. Lots of traveling and training but I truly learned what realtors needed. My job was to train but also help with underwriting and closing issues their clients would have from time to time.
This is where I learned to originate mortgage loans. Prior to any computer programs for origination or even fax machines! I was taught the true requirements of a mortgage loan and "why" it had to be a certain way.
I was in the McComb and Brookhaven MS branches. This was during the first refinance crisis. I originated and closed loans. The loan volume was massive at that time and all had to be done by hand. I won the most awards for my regional area while there. I handled construction loans and other in-house products as well.
Magnolia Federal later sold to Union Planters and I moved on to Cendant Mtg.
I am a Senior Loan Officer for Mortgage Loans My job is to evaluate credit bureaus, tax returns, appraisals, work history and title docs in order to move a loan file thru the systems
I work with many lenders for pricing and underwriting guidelines It is my job to keep up to date on changing products and guidelines I train staff and handle many marketing projects
