I have worked for many years in the medical industry as a medical assistant and in billing, where I, learned a lot about health. Due to my husband's work, we had to move to Maryland where I had a great experience working at Eastport Elementary School (2020) , with two special needs children.
It was very rewarding for me because I felt I was truly contributing something positive. I was able to teach them good behavior with their classmates and teachers, and I could help with their academic learning at their level.
It was an unforgettable experience as many of the teachers saw a change in them. Unfortunately, the pandemic arrived, and I could not continue with them. Later we returned to Miami, and it was here where I heard about this program that allows me to continue working and helping children to keep working towards their dreams.
