  • I worked with Dr. Moulton and other members of the lab are researching genetic risk factors of Alzheimer's disease using fruit flies (Drosophila) as a model organism. Involves crossbreeding, classifying, maintaining, and dissecting fruit flies. I am currently working on characterizing the function of the G215S mutation of the ABCA7 gene, a gene instrumental in neurological function of Drosophila. Started in January 2025 and have been working ever since.
