• Elected Government Official as Suisun City Council-The Suisun City Council (12/10/24 through 2028) is responsible for making legislative decisions for the city, including passing ordinances, resolutions, and setting the city budget. We also set tax levies, sewer and water rates, and oversee various aspects of city governance, such as implementing city policies and managing the city's relationship with other government entities according to the City of Suisun City.
  Key Responsibilities of the Suisun City Council:
  Legislative Powers:
  The City Council is responsible for enacting laws and policies that govern the city.
  Budget Adoptions:
  They are responsible for adopting the city's annual budget and setting appropriate tax levies according to the City of Suisun City.
  Policy Implementation:
  The City Council oversees the implementation of city policies, and the City Manager is hired to assist with this.
  Relationship with the City Manager:
  The Council hires and oversees the City Manager, who is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the city.
  Intergovernmental Relations:
  The City Council is involved in the city's relationship with other government entities, including county, state, and federal governments according to the City of Suisun City.
  Overseeing Commissions and Committees:
  The City Council oversees commissions and committees, such as the Planning Commission, Recreation Parks Marina Arts Commission, and the Environment and Climate Committee says the City of Suisun City.
  Setting Agenda:
  The City Council sets the agenda for its meetings and decides what issues will be discussed and voted upon.

• Health will provide direction to non-licensed personnel in providing direct client care and operation of the unit. The RN assesses, plans, organizes, develops, implements, and evaluates all the activities related to nursing standards of care, professional development, operational function, and communication throughout the facility.

• A Public Health Nurse assesses the physical, psycho-social, and health care status and needs of families and individuals. They collect health history, develop care plans, detect illnesses, and participate in community investigations. • Managed case load A-M- Process SARS, AMR, Identify Medical Homes and implementation of transfers into and out of the county to other CCS programs.

Conducts medical case findings, screenings, and referral activities related to the health needs of students. 2. Refers parents of pupils needing medical care or welfare assistance to appropriate private or community resources. 3. Monitors and aids in the prevention and spread of communicable diseases in the school setting according to guidelines established by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and under the direction of the local health department. 4. Serves as a health education resource person to staff and students. 5. Provides health counseling services for guardians and school personnel. 6. Assists in identification of safety and health hazards on school sites. 7. Maintains a health record for each student. 8. Informs teachers of physical or health liabilities of students, and designs and implements individualized health plans to meet individual health needs of students when warranted. 9. Provides emergency nursing service for sick or injured students at school. 10. Notifies guardians of students about illnesses, physical impairments/disorders, and potential health problems; provides health counseling directed toward the pursuit of appropriate action. 11. Supervises medication administration practices at schools pursuant to California Education Code requirements and District policies and regulations. 12. Assumes the responsibility for screening procedures such as hearing and vision. 13. Assists with verification of selected student absences by home or telephone contacts with guardians. 14. Assists medical personnel in immunization programs conducted at the schools, if applicable. Prepares and distributes health topic bulletins to students, staff members, and guardians. 16. Confers with family medical advisors as indicated and modifies student healthcare plans accordingly. 17. Attends student focused meetings such as IEP meetings, section 504 meetings, and parent conferences. 18. Follows established policies and procedures for reporting mandated incidents such as child abuse, substance abuse, harassment, and violence. 19. Prepares mandated health and developmental workups and updates on all special education students. 20. Interprets health and developmental evaluations to parents, teachers, administrators, and other professionals directly concerned with the student, including members of the IEP team, and provides appropriate follow-through. 21. Supervises directly or indirectly, as applicable, physical health care services in the school health setting in accordance with law. (Ed Code 49422, 49423.5) 22. Provides annual training for staff volunteers on the administration of epinephrine pens. 23. Attends professional meetings and is encouraged to attend professional development. 24. Performs other related duties as assigned.
