Offering passion for guiding children's spiritual journeys and strong desire to grow within the body of Christ. Bringing an understanding of child development and ability to design/lead interactive, faith based activities and lessons. I am eager to pour into the children that are a part of the body of Christ and especially pour into the little children who have yet to accept Christ as their best friend and personal savior. My heart is filled with passion for kid's ministry and outreach for those who have not come to know Christ. I have grown up in the church all my life and I have been around kiddos all my life. I still have a lot of the same little kid in me and children's ministry is something I have always loved being a part of. I'm a quick study and eager to grow, learn, build teams, and let the light of Christ shine through me as I work for the church.

  • I had the amazing opportunity to be a part of childcare for church on the move while parents and family members attend their midsize small groups
  • I would mostly be on the teams that overlooked the first through second graders and the fourth and fifth graders
  • We would check them in and out, feed them, and play games until their parent's groups had wrapped up
  • This was an incredible and very humbling experience
  • The kiddos never ceased to keep me humble and coming up with various ways to keep me on my toes
  • We did everything from tag, football, hide and seek, basketball, building Legos, coloring, and bouncy houses!
  • During this time, and still to this day.. I have been volunteering in the 1-3rd grade class on the weekend!

Outreach Internship

  • I was given the opportunity to be an intern under the outreach director at Church of The Highlands Grantsmill campus
  • I would evaluate the success of of the outreach team's strategies and help come up with solutions to problems
  • I was tasked with learning and doing serve assessments where a teammate and I would drive out to assess different parts of town within the city and we would also asses and evaluate the Church's service requests
  • These requests could have been anything from peeling paint, to broken doors, to broken gutters/roofing tiles, cleaning yards, fixing pipes, etc.
  • I was required to be a part of all campus meetings, engaging and working with people from every team such as pastoral care, worship, the campus pastor, youth pastors, children's pastors, event planners, and members from all of the other teams
  • I would have weekly meetings with the leader over my internship where he would give me feedback as well as, ask if there was anything that i saw that could have been done better or if there was any specific project i was wanting to start/put together
  • I was given many opportunities to serve a wide variety people and be the hands and feet of Christ to as many men, women, and children as I could've
  • I was also tasked with leading children's groups for a summer blast event where we would teach the kids more about Jesus, play games, tell stories, make crafts, and many other things
  • This internship has played a key and essential role in developing a greater understanding of what it is like to work within the church, asking for help when you aren't sure of what to do, solving problems with team members from other branches of the church, building strong relationships within the congregation, and serving even when it is not convenient for you
  • I learned so much about outreach but I also grew a greater understanding of how to operate and manage situations within the church as a whole.
