  • The General Manager comes with many roles, and I was honored to do them all. From making the staffing schedule, ordering inventory for the restaurant to sell, and always having to apply the greatest customer service possible.
  • Some of the skills and responsibilities I have learned or acquired while in this position consist of writing checks for incoming invoices, managing a business with 25 to 40 employees, ensuring payroll is processed, and that employees are always paid on time. To sum it all up, time management is likely the most important skill I have managed to improve in.
  • Multitasking is crucial in the food industry, which ultimately comes down to how well you manage your time. I have found many ways this can be useful outside of the restaurant setting, and I am ready to apply it in other industries.
  • A few of my many requirements that came along with my position were being on duty seven days a week, always looking presentable with nice bottoms and a collared shirt, and always remaining polite and abiding by the customers' requests.
  • I have a management certification with ServSafe Food. This allows me to oversee and supervise all food operations while abiding by Florida's Department of Health, stating one must be on duty at all times.
