After completing a BA, MA and then five years of doctoral study Pastor Crain initially started a career as a Department Chair and full-time professor at a college. In this position, Pastor Crain was responsible for hiring new staff, supervising staff and writing curriculum and teaching a full load of classes.

While Pastor Crain enjoyed teaching at this college position, it was nothing compared to preaching God's word. God was already planting the seeds of a pastor in him. So, while Pastor Crain held this position at the college, he begin providing guest preaching at local churches in the area as well as providing pulpit supply and interim pastor duties and in this capacity filled a local pulpit often. Pastor Crain has also held the interim pastor position at two different churches. One for a full year and the second one for 6 months of preaching weekly at these churches. Pastor Crain also started the Berean Bible Ministries website, (bereanbibleministries.com) and has provided, for 15 years provided pulpit supply, guest preaching and mostly interim pastor duties.

Pastor Crain is now one of two preaching pastors at McMicken Heights Church, (a church whose roots are in the Baptist denomination) where I share the pulpit with another pastor each month and enjoy preaching on a monthly rotational basis with him.

Pastor Crain also has 5 years full-time experience as the clinical supervisor of a crisis counseling service for families and children.
