Under the direction of the Chief of Safety Intervention & Support Services, this position is responsible for management support with coordinating, implementing, and assessing student behavior support programs District-wide.

• Serve as the Safety Intervention & Community Engagement Specialist under the Chief of Safety Intervention & Support Services
• Focusing on building school/community based relationships
• Using a Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS) framework for students, staff, and parents
• Scheduling and organizing trainings for student prevention/intervention programs, parent safety volunteer program, staff professional development trainings, conduct parent informational workshops, coordinate various District & community events, collaborate with junior colleges and surrounding K-12 Districts, research evidence based student behavior programs, participate with writing student focused Grant opportunities, and serve on various strategic planning teams throughout Rialto Unified School District.

• Assessed risk levels and implemented appropriate measures to address safety concerns.
• Assist school site administration with officer scheduling, conduct briefings and prepared agenda and minutes for student behavior program planning purposes. Coordinator for the Gang Resistance Intervention Partnership (G.R.I.P.) program. Rialto coalition member, Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) certified external coach for staff, students, and parent.

• Direct supervision of 25 employees, responsible for hiring and firing, budgeting, responsible for employee performance evaluations, contract negotiations, overseer of technical support, accounts receivable, conduct district area manager meetings.
