I have traveled to all six continents as a featured poet, poetry festival personality, writing workshop teacher, keynote, or educational scholar over the last thirty years I have visited and toured China, been a guest in London, UK, in Bayreuth, Germany, Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Sydney, Australia, Medellin, Colombia and other cities in Colombia, across more than thirty states in the US, visited, and read my poetry in Kenyan Universities across the country, including in Nairobi, Ghana, West Africa, across Liberia, and have been a guest poet and read m poetry at the Library of Congress, the Ford Foundation, the Smithsonian Museum of Arts, and dozens of college institutions across the US My travel experience is vast, and I have worked collaboratively with poets and writers, teachers and scholars across the world and in the US
