Administer Vision and Hearing tests for all students seeking 504 placement and Exceptional Education placement

• Developed individualized education plans to meet diverse student needs.

• Resource Room and Collaborative Education Teacher - Actively engage students varying in abilities and exceptionalities in academic success, self-advocacy, and transition from high school to postsecondary training and/or employment.
• Lead Teacher – Serve as LEA for IEP meetings, liaison between Shelby County Special Services and Pelham High School Special Education Teachers, organize substitutes and set agendas for all meetings and work with administration and counselors to develop master schedule to ensure strategic placement of Special Education students.
• Department Chair – Head of At Risk Committee for Continuing School Improvement, and am disseminator of information from Pelham High School Administration to Special Education Teachers, Representative of Special Education Teachers in Department Head meetings, imputer of scheduling for all Special Education Students
• Student Government Association Sponsor: Conducted meetings according to Robert’s Rule of Order, oversaw all elections, organized volunteer activities with Children’s Hospital, organized all homecoming events, and conducted Ethics training for Pelham High Seniors in conjunction with Birmingham Southern College.
• Collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive support services.
• Monitored student progress and adjusted teaching methods accordingly for optimal learning outcomes.
• Trained and mentored new faculty on special education best practices and compliance requirements.
• Advocated for students' rights and ensured adherence to relevant legislation and guidelines.
• Facilitated parent-teacher conferences to discuss student achievements and challenges effectively.
