  • Mrs. Wagner’s Concert Choir and Chamber Choir have performed for numerous local and state civic organizations and conventions. Special performance opportunities have been:
  • Notre-Dame-Des-Victoires Church in Old Quebec City, Canada and Christ Church (Old North Church) in Boston, Massachusetts.
  • Chapel Service performances at the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland.
  • MAHS Chamber Choir was selected to perform at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association State Conference in 2005 and again in 2011.
  • Her Chamber and Concert Choir were featured act performances with the West Branch Men’s Chorus at the Weis Center for the Performing Arts, Bucknell University.
  • Students have competed at the PMEA District, Region, and All State Choral Ensembles.
  • Students have competed at the NAFME Eastern Division and National Choral Ensembles.
  • Lead director for the Mifflinburg Area High School Fall Plays and Spring Musicals for 36 years.
  • Mrs. Wagner’s choral rehearsal techniques and Concert Choir were observed yearly by Bucknell and Susquehanna University Music Education Majors.

PMEA

  • Mrs. Wagner served as the PMEA District 8 Choral Coordinator Chair for over twenty years, sat on the State PMEA Student Events Council Board, was a Past PMEA District 8 President, and currently sits on the PMEA District 8 Executive Board as the Choral Librarian.
  • Mrs. Wagner sits as an adjudicator for the PMEA State auditions for the Piano Accompanist and the Contemporary A Cappella Ensemble committees.
  • She has presented seminars for PCMEA Clinics at Mansfield University and Susquehanna University and PMEA District 8 Act 48 seminars for choral educators.
  • In 2014 she was awarded the PMEA District 8 Citation of Excellence for high school music educators at the PMEA State Conference.

Family

Mrs. Wagner grew up in Mifflin County on the Mitchell family dairy farm. She began taking piano lessons at the age of 5 and was blessed to have a family that valued music and the arts. Her maternal grandmother was a natural musician; playing the accordion and fiddle by ear. Mrs. Wagner resides outside of Mifflinburg with her husband, and her son attends CU-Mansfield University.
