- As a supervisor, I was responsible for ensuring that the health and safety rules of the school were being followed I interacted with students, encouraged appropriate play, and managed student behavior while working with teachers and administration as required In October 2020, I started as a one-to-one instructional aide, working with a nonverbal autistic first-grade student Both the student and I started virtually, and we transitioned back to class in February of 2021 During my time with him, I supported him with core classwork, keeping him focused and engaged throughout the day I also accompanied him to specials in music, library, gym, and life skills Additionally, I transitioned him to lunch and recess I have been working with this student for four years, and he will be transitioning to 5th grade at a new location next school year I also have experience working with different personalities for multiple grade levels from K-4 elementary I have included other students in my schedule throughout the day for the last two years I am currently working with a high-functioning autistic second-grader, teaching him phonics and spelling
