Accomplishments

I was employed as a cosmetologist since 1984 till present in only seven shops. I was always loyal to each one that I worked in. I exceeded in everything I did for not only my employer before our clients. I became the owner of The Barber Pole that I worked at since 1996, Due to my loyalty to my employers John Vacarro and Enzo Morales the original owner of the barber poles before the epidemic of Covid. according to the business accountant that theyused, which I now use, the business was in trouble. I took it out of the red zone these past five years with no help from the government since we were now a new business, and the government would not support it because I was not one of the previous owners. I rehired the old staff, but we changed it from just a cutting parlor to a unique barbershop cosmetologist full salon setting. We didn’t only just make this change, but we increased everything through credit cards which we did not have before and other payment options for our clients. Recently, we just added face, painting, and water-based tattooing since October is usually our slow month because we get a lot of flow of persons in our area for our town’s Halloween attractions. these attractions help businesses like restaurants, and the Halloween type of businesses, but it causesparking issues for our clients making it difficult for them to keep their appointments. So, as I told our staff, we have to not cry about our loss, but find a way to survive it. I believe if you cannot beat the system join them. This is why we are now doing face, painting, and water based tattooing. I believe by just being originally a stylist no different than any other stylist in the shop. I have accomplished much in the five years I owned the shop. Also, I do not have turnover. I have the same staff for the last five years, which were my coworkers in the past. This shows that I can also be affair. Team player, even though I am the owner of the shop.

Additional Information

I am a person that looks for opportunities of growth. I do not just get satisfied and not want more. I am hungered to achieve higher goals not for just myself. I believe in setting stones for achievement and to succeed. I believe in higher standards. Higher standards bring in satisfied, client/customers and employment relations for any shops or stores growth.
