Caring for and riding horses and participating in demolition derbies.

I have been caring for and riding horses since as long as I can remember.  I grew up on a farm around horses, cows, and goats.  Over the years I've learned how to properly take care of them from feeding, to giving medicine, and shots.  It is a very physical life style but, the benefits and knowledge are irreplaceable.  My family and I take the horses trail riding, we all get together and ride for hours at a time and just have fun.  I, myself also chuckwagon race and this can be a very dangerous event.  In chuckwagon racing you hook two horses up to a 1,000 lb chuckwagon and you race them against others. You have to make sure everything is ready before you race or you will have issues or even bad wrecks. I've actually been in a wreck while racing, the wagon ran my face over and I also got caught up and drug by the wagon. I was very lucky and got to jump back up with only bruises and a deep cut on my face.  I've realized it's a lot to take in but, it's all worth it in the end.

I haven't participated in as many derbies but, have been doing it for around three years now.  To participate in a derby you must build your cars with steel to strengthen them, until they are strong enough to hold up while crashing them into one other. The class doesn't end until there is only one car left that can still run and drive also, which ever driver has the last hit will win. You definitely have to be tough to enter either of these events.
