Summary

I am an experienced and enthusiastic substitute teacher (with in-house teaching experience) with a passion for teaching and inspiring others. As of April 2025, I have completed the Teaching Credential Program via CalStateTEACH (credential currently pending). During the 2024 fall semester, I student-taught under Steven Coutts, a 2nd grade teacher at Sunnyslope Elementary, where I taught the PAF program in small group sessions, occasional math lessons, and substituted in the meantime. During the 2025 spring semester, I student-taught with Angelina Bruno, a 1st grade teacher also at Sunnyslope Elementary, where I taught math lessons and paragraph opinion essays for ELA while continuing my substitute teaching. I'm committed to learning about varying educational philosophies, and motivated by my appreciation of the human spirit, and our innate desire to learn something new every day. I am experienced in following lesson plans and fostering a classroom environment conducive to learning. In bringing dedication, a love of education, and the desire to positively impact the lives of students, I am the kind of personality that does not believe in giving up, but instead works steadily at something until I reach my desired goal, both in the overall lesson plan and for each individual student. I am a people person who believes in being a team player and having as much involvement with my colleagues as necessary. As no one ever stops learning, I believe that there is always room to improve oneself and learn from past errors or mistakes.
