Work History

Gas Turbine Systems Mechanic

United States Navy, USN
Honolulu, HI
09.2005 - 09.2024
  • Responsible for the leadership and safety of over 100 personnel while conducting daily operations and maintenance on 4 Rolls-Royce Allison 501-K34 Gas Turbine Engines and 3 General Electric LM2500 Engines, I successfully saved the Navy over $15 million in repairs while conducting generator engine changeouts and multiple overhauls of an entire engineering fuel system, without any casualties. I am directly responsible for the quality assurance of my oil team while conducting over 100 daily tests and logging the results of F-76 (diesel fuel), J-P5 (jet fuel), 1090 (synthetic lube oil), and hydraulic oil for bottom sediments and water, using approved testing equipment to identify any contamination. Living to the Navy core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment, I ensured that not only I, but my team, was successfully qualified to perform all duties. Performing duties such as In-Port Equipment Monitor, Auxiliary Systems Monitor, Engineering Room Operator, Plant and Auxiliary Control Console Operator, Engineering Plant Control Console Operator, JP-5 Helicopter Refueler, Fuel and Lube Oil Console Operator, Oil Analysis, Oil Pollution Abatement Supervisor, Environmental Protection Coordinator, Engineering Training Team Leader, Fuels Officer, and Engineering Officer of the Watch, I made sure there were no stones left unturned while setting the example for my team members, helping them to understand that the ladder to success is endless. With roughly 20 years of experience in the engineering field, it has always been a dream to learn, grow, and lead by example, with one key factor at hand: staying motivated.
