  • Leads a team of eight Photojournalists, providing training, resources and mentorship on assignments.
  • Works to grow the talent pool at WWMT by participating in search and screen, reel review and candidate selection.
  • Leads the training for new Photojournalists-familiarize them with the equipment, how the day to day operations work, educate them on how to work with a reporter and how to work by themselves.
  • Holds one on one critique sessions with the Photojournalists to give feedback and guidance on their work.
  • Shoots and edits around 250 stories a year for television and web under tight deadlines for all our newscasts.
  • Creatively looks for new shots, angles in order to best present the story to the viewer.
  • Edited videos and rearranged shots to match creative or production requirements.
  • Experience in shooting stories regarding current events, human interest, crime, political events, education and health.
  • Creates custom graphics and maps when needed for storytelling.
  • Produced original video content by working collaboratively with reporters, managers and producers to facilitate multimedia production.
