Summary

  • I. KEY SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
  • Translation & Transcribing During my time as a language instructor, I would get offers to work at public functions and offer translation services. I once facilitated a one-week church function where I was in charge of translating to a group of French speaking donors of a church called united Methodist church in Rwanda. I was also involved in various other functions as a translator for EDUGATE Rwanda. As a transcriber I worked with local consulting firms where I translated data from Kinyarwanda or Kiswahili to English. DATA collection As data collector I worked with local and international consulting firms on different projects. This gave me a great exposure to vulnerable people by conducting both qualitative and quantitative data. By using droid systems but also facilitating group discussions.
  • Program management As a program manager I have been working with GENERATION RISE which is a local NGO that works with vulnerable communities more specifically youth girls by uplifting them through literature as a program manager. But also, I have managed various projects in both agriculture and education.
  • Logistics This largely included booking logging in advance for data collectors, program management staff and also hire transportations for the previous mentioned and in some cases recipients of the program. Furthermore, I would book in advance the interviews (FGD and KII) before the time of going to the field. I speak fluently English, French, Kiswahili and Kinyarwanda.
