I have six years experience as a frontline worker in homeless services, with one year as Program Manager for a men’s transitional shelter program. I am dedicated to pursuing God’s justice and the flourishing of all in Portland’s communities. I learned fist hand that the men seeking a new life after justice involvement had passion and character, and deserved a right to pursue their livelihood, despite the systems designed to take it away from them. In pursuit of these passions and gifts I earned a seminary degree with a focus on old testament Hebrew, and am receiving training in humanitarian nonprofit leadership. I am currently working on a thesis that proposes how a community recording studio could serve as a platform for social and economic empowerment for marginalized artists. I am once again pursuing ministry work at the intersection of justice, the arts, and community development.
