I worked for almost 32 years as an LA County Deputy Sheriff. I worked my first four years in the Custody Division. Working in two LA County jails. My next assignment was in the Patrol Division. I worked for two years in patrol in South Central Los Angeles. Then I worked for six years at the Youth Activity League with children in South Central Los Angeles. I worked two more years in patrol, transferring to the Community Oriented Policing Unit, and was assigned to Housing Projects in South Central Los Angeles for five years. I left patrol and worked three years in the Superior Courts as a bailiff. I transferred to the Civil Management Bureau, a judicial unit within the court system. I worked as a Levy Deputy, serving restraining orders, civil writs of judgment, and evictions. I worked in this unit until I retired in 2017.
I am a very athletic person. Played football as a young teen. I competed as an amateur boxer for the the Sheriff's Department for about 15 years. I am an avid golfer.
