The PIC works with the Store Director and ASD to operate the store during the evening shift. Typical duties included:

• Direct supervision of 6-10 employees, and total accountability for up to 15 employees during the shift
• Delegate work projects or tasks to employees as needed.
• Accept freight deliveries and move pallets with an EPJ
• Stock high volume merchandise and/or fill sales displays (MEDs, shadowboxes, etc)
• Handle all customer complaints or employee concerns professionally and with urgency.

The Third Assistant reports to the Assistant Store Director (ASD). The Third acts as the PIC during the evening shift, but has additional training and authority to better understand the operational needs of the business. Third Assistants are directly engaged with all departments and support staff, and ensure that operational standards and targets remain consistent throughout all hours of operation. The Third champions each employee's success and provides individual training, coaching, or disciplinary action when needed.

Used a touchscreen-based POS system to assist guests at the front checkout, following company standards for identifying and keying bulk and produce items into the transaction.

• Maintained all photo department logs, copyright releases, and film send-outs.
• Maintained photo processing equipment, putting in service requests as needed
• Assisted department customers with creating/picking up orders, film development requests, passport photos, and other services offered at the counter.
