Welding Fundamentals: Personal Protection and shop safety training. Tools of the welding field and their proper usage. Introduction to Stick, MIG and TIG welding and how to maintain proper equipment. Electrical principles of welding, welding symbols and to properly read and understand blue-prints. Introduction to industry specific types, terms, joints and designs of welding and various positions required to properly weld.

Advance Welding : Builds upon knowledge of Stick, MIG and TIG welding and introduces additional welding positions. Introduced more advanced types of welding and their application and use blueprinting and project planning skills to build projects in the lab.

Pennco Term 1: Shop safety and proper utilization of welding tools and equipment. Alloy identification, identifying welding symbols and reading blueprints. Practicing skills for fillet welds in Stick and Mig welding for 1F, 2F and 3F positions. Skills practice for Oxyacetylene Torch and Plasma Torch.

Pennco Term 2: Understanding and practicing Pipe welding, Overhead, Horizontal and Vertical. Fillet and groove welds for TIG and Stick welding in all positions.
