With nearly 20 years of dedicated service to the Joliet Fire Department, I have had the privilege of working both alongside and leading fellow firefighters in a variety of capacities. Beyond my core responsibilities as a firefighter, I have been an active participant in our department’s FAST Kids Program, a six-week fire safety education initiative delivered in Joliet public schools. In this role, I taught fourth-grade students essential fire safety skills, helping to build awareness and prevention habits in our community’s youth.
In addition to my professional service, I have been a committed volunteer at Southfield Community Church since 2000. Over the years, I have led small groups for children, and for the past 12 years, I have served as the primary teacher for 1st through 5th graders, providing weekly lessons and spiritual guidance. I have also taken a leadership role in our summer day camp program for children in kindergarten through 6th grade, where I designed and implemented original curriculum to create an engaging and meaningful experience for all participants.
