• Primary responsibilities are to control access to federal property; to assist in ensuring the safety of employees and visitors while on federal property; and to assist in ensuring the safety of federal property.
• Access control includes checking visitor and employee identification; operating security equipment such as x-ray machines and magnetometers to screen for prohibited materials; operating and monitoring security cameras and/or alarms; and reporting crimes and incidents to the FPS MegaCenter.

U.S. Coast Guard Station, Key West Florida

Description of duties: Qualified as Watchstander, Crewman, Engineer, Boarding Team Member, Boarding Officer and Officer of the Day. During my assignment to CG Station Key West, we responded to numerous search and rescue cases and law enforcement/fisheries cases. When not on a case, engineers were working on the maintenance and up-keep of all diesel and outboard engines. My secondary responsibility included maintenance and repair of all dewatering pumps at the station.

U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Pamilco
• December 1997 - February 1999
Description of Duties: Qualified as Inport Watchstander, Engineer of the Watch, Basic Damage Control and Rescue Swimmer. USCGC Pamlico built Major and Minor Aids to Navigation on the Mississippi River and in the Gulf of Mexico. Trained and responded to various weather and non-weather related emergency situations
