  • Directing and participating in the development and evaluation of financial control programs and procedures, which are consistent with established policies for financial controls and the interpretation and implementation of the Federal and State fiscal regulations
  • Assure the accurate and consistent recording and reporting of financial and accounting data
  • Direct the development and assure the proper maintenance of control systems to safeguard program assets and to effectively monitor operations
  • Direct the development and implementation of budgeting systems
  • Integrate and coordinate fiscal control functions and systems to achieve maximum operating efficiency and effectiveness
  • Investigate opportunities for improving or further automating existing accounting, budgeting and reporting systems
  • Compare the financial performance of operations with operating plans and standards; reporting and interpreting the financial results from operations; reporting significant trends and variations and contributing toward the formulation of future policies and strategies which will enhance overall delegate agency and program operating efficiency
  • Supervise the preparation of monthly financial reports to be submitted to the delegate agency Board of Directors, Parent committees, and the Grantee
  • To ensure reports are prepared in compliance with Delegate Agency/Grantee Contractual Agreements, as well as pertinent government regulations and guidelines
  • Direct the formulation and implementation of personnel development programs that lead to the professional development of subordinate staff members
  • Direct the establishment and maintenance of an effective functional oriented reporting and communications system
