  • Stationed as a resident engineer for the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development overseeing construction and maintenance works under the Emergency Roads Rehabilitation Program 2 (ERRP-2)
  • The program involved maintenance work of the existing road infrastructure within the province - road resealing, pothole patching, culvert desilting, and bridge maintenance
  • New constructions included roads and drainage facilities such as box culverts, pipe culverts and bridges
  • Supervised major projects including Cyclone Idai Restoration Works - Kopa Jopa Rd, Forbes Border Intersection, Rehabilitation of Old Magamba Rd, Mutare, and Nyamataka Portal Bridge - installation of precast portal frames over an existing bridge structure that had been silted.

  • Stationed as a junior site engineer on the Masvingo-Beitbridge Road Rehabilitation Project
  • This project was undertaken by the Ministry of Transport of Zimbabwe in November 2019 and involved upgrading the existing 580 km highway to a 14m width and improving the base material by use of a G1 crusher run and stabilization of the underlying sub-base by cement, as well as improving its horizontal and vertical alignment to improve vehicle design speed design speed of 120km/hr
  • Monthly and weekly progress reports, supervision and quality control of road earthworks, gravel materials testing and mapping, analysis of gravel pit results for conformity to the SATCC design code, cement sub-base stabilization design and supervision of related works, concrete products supervision: cubes for pipe and box culverts, L-channels and kerbstones, auditing of Environmental Management Systems, Quality Management Systems and Occupational Health and Safety standards, with strict adherence to the relevant ISO certifications (ISO 9001; ISO 14001/15 and ISO 45001).

Awards

Georgia Rotary Scholarship Program (Zimbabwean Ambassador), 07/2018, 06/2019.

The program is a cultural exchange program aimed at improving international relations and promoting cross-pollination of ideas between various countries. My assignment was to blur the divide between racial differences and to promote peace, understanding and tolerance between Zimbabweans and all other participating countries (Including the United States). During this period, I was enrolled at the University of Georgia as a non-degree seeking student where I studied: History of American Business, Personal Finance, Risk Management and Insurance, Environmental Psychology, Thermodynamics.
