Pulitzer Prize for Public Service, 1996, Pulitzer Foundation, One of the leaders on a small team at the Times Picayune newspaper in New Orleans awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Public Service for a weeklong series detailing the peril of the Gulf of Mexico and surrounding fisheries.
