PROCUREMENT, INVENTORY MANAGMENT and FINANCE
Managed a four-million-dollar budget annually that covered medical supplies, medications, durable medical equipment, contract service agreements, public safety uniforms, facility repairs, and vehicle maintenance
Worked with the challenges of national shortages, supply chain interruptions, and nationwide backorders on medications and medical supplies
Collaborated with multiple vending sources to find and secure alternatives without compromising patient care
Works closely with and have a professional relationship with Purchasing Staff/Buyers, Finance, Budget, Accounts Payable, outside vending sources, contractors, and allied agencies
Order, track, receive, and distributes mission critical supplies for EMS and allied agencies medical providers
Sought out and leveraged several contracts with medical vending sources to save the county 5%-30% annually on medications and disposable medical supplies
Ensured inventory control with the development of an automated ordering system for all medications and medical supplies to assist EMS. This streamlined ordering, cutting the time from conventional ordering and increased turnaround time of receiving products
Secured and tracked all controlled substances throughout system, complying with all Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Kansas Board of Pharmacy laws and regulations
FLEET MANAGEMENT
Managed a fleet of 30 Ambulances and 16 Support Vehicles
Worked closely with our Fleet Management Mechanics on maintenance of all vehicles including scheduling repairs, warranty work, body shop repairs, troubleshooting EMS technology on each ambulance and overall performance
Assisted in the development of a prevented maintenance program on all emergency vehicles to help prevent future vehicle failures and preserve vehicles beyond scheduled end of life
Track vehicle mileages, overall conditions and vehicle reliability and make recommendations of vehicle replacement
Collaborated with our Fleet Mechanics to created detailed ambulance specification, ambulance remount specifications and support vehicle specifications to meet the current and future needs of an EMS service
Worked on the incorporation an ambulance remount program to help offset the costs of a new ambulance
The remount program has saved Sedgwick County 2.5 million dollars in the past ten years over the purchase of a new ambulance
FACILITY MANAGEMENT
Managed and maintained 18 EMS Stations (Posts) throughout Sedgwick County that operated 24/7/365
Coordinates daily with Logistics team that all facility needs are managed
Managed the EMS Administrative building included offices, medical supply storage, receiving, Ambulance garage, Training classroom and security areas
Worked on the development and construction of eight new EMS Posts and the renovation/remodel of five additional Posts
Collaborated with EMS staff for feedback during the developmental stages of all construction projects
This was done to make certain EMS needs were being met on all new facilities
Worked closely with Architects, Structural Engineers, General and Sub-Contractors, County Project Managers and EMS staff all construction projects
Maintained good communication with all involved parties during projects
Developed a Preventative Maintenance program for all EMS facilities, maintaining each and sustaining its infrastructure
Overseen grounds keeping and snow removal for all EMS facilities
BIOMEDICAL AND TECHNOLOGY
Ensuring that all EMS medical equipment is maintained and ready for EMS operations through evaluations, repairs, calibrations, and documentation
Make certain all FDA reports are filed on any critical equipment failures
Maintain databases on EMS equipment, technology and facilities
Implemented and managed a Rear View Camera system on all Ambulances
Ensure that all vehicle on-board mobile gateways (Cradlepoint) are operational and communicating with 911 Dispatch
Maintain all iPads, desktop, mobile and laptop computers ensuring they have the most current operating systems
Began work on initiating a controlled substance securing system that electronically tracks all controlled substances throughout system, from receiving to patient administration
