Dynamic machinist with extensive experience at U of I ECE department, excelling in five-axis machining and complex part fabrication. Proficient in Fusion 360 and Autodesk autocad, I enhance team capabilities through knowledge sharing. Recognized for problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality, I consistently deliver precision-engineered components on time.
Machining all types of materials using the already existing software that is on the proto trak on both cnc machines in the shop. This also includes running manual machines whether that is mill or lathe. But also advancing the shop by learning a new software from Autodesk called fusion 360. By bringing in fusion 360 and learning it is proficiently I've been able share this knowledge with my coworkers. It has given us more capabilities when it comes to machining and how we machine parts more effectively. My job also includes machining and doing some maintenance like things like drilling into concrete walls and mowing the AFS.
My job entailed receiving a blueprint and completing the part from start to finish. That included running a saw to cut my material to programming the part that I was working then setting up the machine to be ready to run the program and running the part then finally checking the part to make sure it was within spec. I was the lead machinist in the five axis department within the job shop. Job shop had the most experienced and confident machinist to handle the most complicated parts. I was given most of the hardest parts in the shop because I could handle the pressure of finishing it to give the shop a profit.
I was brought up from knowing not much to knowing how to handle finishing parts which included running a sander and alodining or passivating parts. Next task I was given was to learn manual lathe and mill then soon graduated to running a CNC lathe on my own. After that came learn how to run CNC mill and towards the end of my career here I learned to program using a software called mastercam. I was also certified in aerospace in welding aluminum, stainless and steel.
