HARDWORKING POSITIVE RESULTS DRIVEN WITH 34 YEARS EXPERIENCE. I HAVE GOOD PEOPLE SKILLS AND A HELP YOUR FELLOW PERSON WHEN THEY ARE IN NEED.
DETAIL ORIENTED BECAUSE EVRYBODY DOES THE BIG THINGS, BECAUSE ITS THE SMALL DETAILS THAT SEPERATE ELITE OPERATORS FROM MEDIOCRE OPERATORS.
SKILLED OPERATOR THAT WORKS UNDER PRESSURE VERY WELL. AIN'T NO SKY TO HIGH OR SEA TO DEEP TO KEEP MY FROM ACCOMPLISHING EVERY TASK AT A VERY HIGH LEVEL.
Brought the WWTP into complete compliance with state and federal regulations. I actively train people to become a state-certified operator. I have implemented an ongoing training program for certified operators to help them become more effective and successful operators. The team of operators and I have started using the effluent reuse system that had been unused since 2008 (the year in which the reuse system was built) until April 4, 2022, the day the effluent from the WWTP started being used for irrigation in the Hammock Bay Subdivision. Sanitary Sewer Overflows (SSO) were a common event. Since I have started to work with the City of Freeport, SSOs have become a thing of the past. I have overseen the implementation of a SCADA system that monitors all 86 lift stations and the WWTP's appurtenances. Implemented a sludge conditioning program that kept the oxidation ditch WWTP in permit compliance, even though the WWTP was operating at over 120% of permit flow design for that WWTP. Since then, The City of Freeport has built a new 2.0 MGD Modified Ludzack Ettinger (MLE) wwtp. Implemented an Emergency Power Plan for the WWTP, and an aggressive bypass pump operation and maintenance standard operating procedures. Implemented standard operating procedures to be implemented on a daily basis for the successful operation of a WWTP.
Operate and maintain a 0.1 MGD Extended Aeration WWTP.
While I was a contract operator for DBI, I operated and maintained water wells and wastewater treatment plants from Okaloosa County to Jefferson County on I-10.
While I was employed with ASUS, at Eglin I operated and maintained water wells.
While in the city of Bonifay, I implemented a storm mode of operation in the PLC that controlled the 2.5 MGD Sequence Batch Reactor (SBR) to help alleviate infiltration and intrusion (I&I) problems brought on by rainfall events. In 1993, the City of Bonifay won its first and only employee-voted award (the rest were voted on by the city council). In 1995 the city of Bonifay's wwtp won plant of the year. In 1996 the City of Bonifay's wwtp was nominated for EPA's plant of the year in region IV which covers 8 states.
