I myself am a motivated and community-driven individual and have been all throughout my entire life. Involving myself with clubs and school activities to expand my mind and abilities. Being able to navigate and find my way in life mostly on my own has created skills that I know are useful and have known are useful for a long time in a first responder field. I have been researching and asking around to pursue a career in law enforcement with a strong desire to protect the community that I love. I love, and have always loved, making my family and friends safe due to the impact of what I have been through. Going through the thick and the thin of life, from abuse, drugs, and violence all shaping who I am today. During my life I have built the ability to stay and be calm through somewhat to extremely stressful situations. Stress to me is managed and looked at as a mindset. I am a strong communicator with sympathy and strong emotions for others. I listen and feel my surroundings and observe the body language and feelings of people to be able to sense things that some can't. I have always treated others with absolute respect and also know when to take a stand when something is wrong. With all of that, I'm experienced in fast-paced, team-oriented environments that demand quick thinking from you and the ability to manage other things. Multitasking and sound decision-making are big for me too with the past employments I've had. The life experiences that I've overcome have built a deep grounding in my life. Throwing reality into my face pretty young, teaching me the realness of traumas life can throw at you. I am down-to-earth and committed to my life. I am committed to those I love, my career, and what I surround myself with. I am ready to bring integrity and my hard-working self to a role that makes a real difference that I have insane respect for and always have had.
At the ripe age of fourteen, I wanted a job and had been dreaming about getting one. Before this I was doing lemonade stands and small cleaning businesses in and around my neighborhood. I jumped from playing outside every day to doing the most hours they would let someone my age do. At first I didn't thrive in the fast-paced environment they had; it took a second to grapple with. I worked 10-hour shifts, managing more than one station and lanes of traffic outside in the drive-through. It sprouted new time management skills that I didn't have before, making me quick and efficient without sacrificing the quality of my service. This job introduced me to a wide variety of multitasking abilities that I never encountered before I got employed. McDonald's has a lot of new people all the time. It exposed me to the real world, and I got to see new people and how others live their lives beyond my home. I gained the skills to become a clear communicator while being friendly, direct, and professional. Overall, I was changed by this job, as it was my first. It officially started my drive to work and to work hard.
Detailed oriented- my whole life I have been very organized and put together as a person I have a good eye for how I want my things placed in my life I pay close attention to the specifics of certain tasks or projects I'm doing I look more into detail, especially details overlooked by others
Trauma aware- During the 20 years of my life, I have overcome plenty of personal challenges and hardships I’ve developed strong emotional resilience and a very deep empathy towards other human beings The trauma I have endured in my life, especially in my childhood, has shaped my ability to stay calm, compassionate, and grounded when helping others in distress or crisis I don’t shy away from difficult situations; I always like to step into them and help with what’s needed I am well aware that things happen and do happen I love comforting others when something goes south because I can connect in a way Trauma happens, and it's best to know how to deal with it
Excellent under pressure and adaptable- All the jobs I've had in my past and present have had a constant pressure and need to be able to adapt to certain situations and tasks I thrive in fast-paced environments where quick thinking is needed When I’m juggling multiple responsibilities, handling conflict, or responding to challenges that can get in the way, I remain steady and solution-oriented
