For the past 17 years I have worked as a sound engineer, music producer, and composer. From 2000 until 2007, I co-owned and co-operated Marcata Recording in New York City, a 24-track analog studio. During that time I began playing in a group, The Walkmen, which went on to record six albums and perform in over 40 countries. As digital recording took over, I built a home studio and began recording there. I developed recording, mixing and editing expertise on multiple DAWs, particularly ProTools, Logic X and Izotope mastering software. In 2015 I began writing and recording soundtracks for TV and film, both alone and with a partner, Morgan Henderson of the band Fleet Foxes. In the past two years, I have composed and engineered the scores for Hit it Hard, a biography of the golfer John Daly for ESPN's acclaimed 30 for 30 series, The Gold Within, for NBC's olympic coverage, several shorts and commercials, and a documentary for theatrical release, Heaven is a Traffic Jam on the 405, which won Best Short Documentary at this year's Austin Film Festival.
