Currently, I'm a die maker's apprentice at Greenville Tool and Die pursuing my Journeyman Die Maker's Card. However, I've recently changed my career interests, and I desire to become a Transportation Maintenance Worker. Most of my apprenticeship has been spent in die assembly and quality control, where I gained an interest in the small details of our work. Here, I developed the confidence to troubleshoot complex die making processes and cooperate as a team player for customer solutions and project success.
From my experiences growing up on my family's dairy farm and working in greenhouse operations, I learned a hard work ethic and discovered my calling to live a life of humble work. Through both of these dynamic environments, I've become very grateful for the way I've been raised.
Most of all, in my experiences of farm work and die making, I've learned to admire the skills of modern craftsmen and what it means to develop real-world skills early in my career.
