Structural welding (stick and mig), parts fabrication and minor machine work (manual lathe), were also part of my duties.

I have also stood in for both the Plant Manager and the Production Supervisor while they were on vacation. Collateral duties involve, QA & Product testing. I can also move and park trailers up to 57ft in length.

  • Conducted “hands-on” equipment assessment and adjustment/repair training of shipboard personnel on B&A crane, B&T crane, deck edge doors, hanger divisional doors, dehydrators, and capstans on CV and CVN class ships.
  • Conducted installation of EDMS/ICAS and SMARTSHIP on various ships. Sensor installations and replacement, vibration analysis “disking”, foundation locating and installing, cable running, and junction box “cut-in” and trouble-shooting. Supervised crews on fiber-optic LAN installation on USS WASP and USS RUSHMORE.
  • Also’ involved with several laundry/dry cleaning ALTs onboard Navy ships, installation of GMDSS sat/nav equipment on MSC vessels, antenna couplers, and SPA-25G radar repeaters.
  • Assumed pipefitter/ship fitter and other collateral duties on all jobs, my skills include welding (mostly tack), burning, minor electrical, blueprint reading, fiber optics and others in addition to my outside machine capabilities.
