The Ambler Recreation Services Coordinator (Coordinator) fulfills a key leadership role in the management of

Recreation Services and intramural sports programs at the Ambler Campus. The Coordinator will develop and

direct all Recreation Services programs at the Ambler Campus with a focus on engaging a diverse campus

community, including students, faculty, staff and alumni. The Coordinator will coordinate and manage the

scheduling and maintenance of all Ambler recreational sports facilities including the gymnasium, tennis courts,

sports fields, swimming pool, bath house, and outdoor basketball courts. The Coordinator will organize and

oversee all usage of recreational sports facilities; using independent judgement to resolve issues. The Ambler

Recreation Services Coordinator will make recommendations for the Recreation Services budget and Student

Board R&R funding based on technical expertise; hire and oversee year-round student worker coverage of

recreational sports facilities and hire and manage certified lifeguard coverage during the swimming season;

and report data for recreational sports facilities usage and equipment maintenance to the Associate Director of

Operations and Finance.

• Monitored pool area to ensure safety of patrons and enforce applicable rules, regulations and policies.

• Educated individuals on the fundamentals of Tennis, Weight Training methods, and principles of Fitness for Life

• Led and managed the Dewey Beach lifeguard patrol.
