• Experienced in Himsen engine operations and maintenances.
• Responsible for operating, monitoring and maintaining the power plants onboard.
• Assisting the engine room operators (Ero’s) in carrying out 500 hrs, 1500hrs, 2000hrs,
2500hrs, 4000 hrs., 8000hrs engine maintenance as required
• Pumping of lubricating oil mhp 154 to the engine room lub oil storage tank with the
barrel pump
• Transfer of sludge (waste oil) from the engine room to the waste oil tank
• Assisting the Ero’s in seachest strainer cleaning
• Pumping out of bilge (waste water) to the bilge hold tank
• Assisting the Ero’s in carrying out maintenance on the lub oil, diesel oil purifiers,
GS compressor, static air compressor etc.
• Responsible for the packaged AC, hvac system maintenance
• Experienced in thruster maintenances (Greasing , Flushing etc)
• Watchman for bunkering operations
• Carrying out proper and adequate house keeping in the Engine / Thruster rooms.
• Fabrication of discs / gasket for pipes.
• Changing of Air intake filters for the accommodation, galley, Hvac Units,
forward machinery space and Tubor charger filters.
• Cleaning of the diesel / lub oil, transfer pump strainers.
• Unblocking of drainage systems
• Fixing of the toilet systems.
• Testing of the engine injectors
• Adding chemicals (dosing) to the sewage plant, toilet systems and drainage.
• Sewage maintenances, oil water separator maintenances.
