Project Experience

Project Ivy: Reconnecting a Campus

Project Ivy aimed to address accessibility issues and alleviate residential isolation in College Park Apartments through the redevelopment of walking paths. The project focused on transforming existing streets into pedestrian-friendly spaces while maintaining vehicle access. The team gained valuable political experience through in-depth policy research and engaging in lobbying efforts to advocate for the implementation of Project Ivy. Additionally, the team implemented the Walk with Me app to incentivize residents to walk by offering graded paths, difficulty ratings, and rewards such as utility bill reductions and Buddy Passes. The project analysis indicated the potential benefits of implementing Project Ivy in similar locations seeking to reconnect with university campuses.
