  • Directly in charge of wide area fiber optic network for OCA.
  • Backbone leasing contracts and OSP/ISP construction along with the installation of metropolitan node connections at each courthouse/government agency building within the CourtNet, a state-of-the-art network, which connects over 250 court buildings statewide.
  • Conduit leases, duct and manhole installations, and dark fiber leases were integrated into this project for both the five boroughs of New York City and long-haul links to major urban centers within the State of New York.
  • Installations within New York City boroughs were Aerial construction and lashing, Rod & Rope operations involving preexisting duct banks and manhole systems.
  • Manhole and vault splices, conduit restoration via street cuts, trenching, excavation/backfill/paving are examples of the underground OSP which were common to operations in New York City.
  • CourtNet Project: Direct oversight of all NYS OCA fiber optic installations and operations.
  • Which included direct installation of NYS owned optical fiber networks within a metro ring configuration linking court facilities (courthouses, city and state agencies).
  • The Empire City Subway System (ECS), Verizon, Con Edison, and Time Warner underground duct systems were utilized and leased to complete this builds as well as the aerial network of Time Warner in the boroughs of Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Staten Island.
  • Additional metro rings were built for this project for court facilities throughout the state, primarily focusing on court owned plant in major New York cities of Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse.
  • For areas outside of this network; long term fiber leases were engaged to link these court facilities to CourtNet.
  • Court Security Upgrade Project: This project involved the design and installation of security systems and cameras migrating over from CCTV to digital surveillance systems.
  • Digital PTZ and fixed view cameras were installed both internally within ingress and egress points and externally to the encompass not only specific views of doors and corrections transfer points but also overhead coverage of the surrounding area via PTZ cameras on the roof corners and mid spans to provide security coverage and taping of activities in the general area.
